Blood Rage is a new gameplay ability where you fill a bar and once filled, you can gain access to various buffs that can aid you in battle. As well as having all of the weapons, abilities, moves, and so on from the standard game, Rage Burst adds a ton of new things for you to use in battle. To be fair, I feel that the game does a fantastic job of easing you into this aspect of the game.
I am sure that some people will see all of the weapon and character customization that GOD EATER 2 Rage Burst offers and find it a bit on the overwhelming side. I really liked the story and while it is a direct sequel, I do feel it does a good enough job of filling new players in on past events. The game has a kind of “Monster Hunter” vibe about it, but with a more anime twist.
